Ghost Antenna

I was taking a quick nap, which turned into about 8 hours of semi-restful sleep...During which I had a dream that my house was haunted by  ghosts.  The reason I knew this was because I had a  pair of 'Ghost Antenna' that let me hear them talking.   I seem to remember in the dream, the antenna came with the house and might have been in the basement for a while or in a closet.

The Ghost Antenna looked like a pair of steel handlebars you might find on a bicycle, shaped like a wide letter 'Y'.  Instead of handle grips, there were two  large ceramic nautilus shells that were somehow magnetized to stick to the ends of the  metal bars.  After putting the shells in place,  a blue 'flame'  came out of  each  of the shells holes, I would say it was about a 5 inch flame but gave off no heat.  The flames fluttered lazily, like a gentle breeze was blowing on it.  You held the Ghost Antenna at the bottom of the 'Y' and pointed it around the room to hear what the ghosts had to say.

In my dream, my father came to visit.  I tried to show this antenna to  him  but for some reason, it did not work correctly when I brought it outside.   The shells  kept falling off, their magnetism gone and they just dropped to the floor.  The  blue flame did not come alight when I tried to put the shells in place.  I remember my father shaking his head sadly at my attempts and then turning back to looking at the trees in my back yard.  It was very frustrating to say the least.

When I took the parts back inside, they started to work like before and I reassembled my Ghost Antenna.  I wanted to see what the ghosts had to say to me so I started walking around, room to room, listening for any words.  The sound from the antenna was a lot like if you were tuning an old radio, you get that whooshing static noise and then quick burbles of voices when you come close to a radio station.  I could hear something coming through my antenna but nothing coherent.

Unfortunately I was woken up when my cat decided she was hungry...Cats can really meow loudly.
